OlodoPlay on Web

Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 7, 2026

This policy explains how Olodo handles information when you use our website at olodo.app, play quizzes, sign in, save results or share a result. Contact us at support@olodo.app with privacy questions.

Information we collect

  • Account information: when you choose Google or Apple sign-in, we receive a provider account identifier and, when supplied by the provider, your verified email address, name and profile picture. Apple may supply a private relay email instead of your personal address. We do not receive your Google or Apple password.
  • Quiz activity: the quiz you play, answers, timing, score, completion status and any results you choose to save. Anonymous online rounds use a temporary guest identifier.
  • Information you submit: for example a quiz nickname, a content report or an email asking for help. Information you choose to share may be visible to others.
  • Technical information: our application records request identifiers, endpoint names, response status and processing time to operate and troubleshoot the service. Hosting and sign-in providers may also process connection information, such as IP address and browser details, under their own policies. To limit abuse, we store short-lived counters keyed by a protected fingerprint of your connection address or signed-in account, rather than your raw IP address.

How we use information

We use this information to verify your identity, maintain your account and session, score quizzes, recover unfinished online rounds, save and share results, provide support and investigate errors or abuse. Google sign-in requests basic identity information; it does not request access to your Gmail messages, Drive files or contacts. We do not sell Google account information or use it to personalize advertising.

Browser storage and third-party services

Olodo uses browser session storage for your account token and unfinished guest round. This allows recovery in the same tab after a reload. Browser storage may also hold playback preferences or question-selection history. Clearing site storage removes those local values but does not delete a saved account or result from our servers.

Google or Apple sign-in loads the selected provider’s software and communicates with that provider. Their cookies, account controls and privacy policies apply to that interaction. Our hosting and database providers process information needed to deliver Olodo. We may also disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect users and the service.

Where web advertising is enabled, ad-provider software may process browser identifiers and interaction information. Olodo’s web ad integration requires an affirmative consent signal before requesting ads and suppresses ads for verified eligible Premium accounts. Google or Apple identity tokens are not sent to the advertising integration.

Shared results

A shared online result exposes its quiz title and score to anyone with the link. Avoid sharing a link if you do not want others to view that result. An offline score export is calculated on your device and can be shared through the service you choose.

Retention and security

Unclaimed guest rounds and their share links expire after 24 hours. Expiry prevents access; an hourly cleanup job removes expired unclaimed rounds in batches. Cleanup may be delayed during outages or a backlog. Saved results remain associated with your account until removed through account deletion or a verified request. We retain account information while it is needed to provide your account, and may retain limited records where required for security or legal obligations.

We verify provider tokens on the server and store fingerprints rather than raw guest capability tokens or account session tokens in the session tables. No online service can guarantee absolute security. Keep account access and private quiz links secure.

Your choices and requests

You can play supported guest quizzes without signing in. You choose whether to sign in, save a result or share it. You can revoke Olodo’s access in your Google or Apple account settings. Revoking provider access does not itself delete your Olodo account.

To request access, correction or deletion of your account information, email support@olodo.app. We may need to verify that the account belongs to you before acting. Do not send passwords or sign-in tokens. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights under applicable law.

Children and policy changes

If applicable law requires parental permission to use an online service or share personal information, obtain that permission before creating an account. A parent or guardian can contact us about a child’s information. We update this policy when our practices change and show the revision date above. Material changes to Google data use will be disclosed before we request any additional access.
